apple orchards
The orchard offers seven varieties of apples that are ready to pick by you and the whole family. Our varieties are:

Paula Red is our choice for an early apple. A cross between cIntosh and Cortland, it ripens ealier than either of it's parents. It is best between August 20th and September 5th. During this time is surpasses McIntosh and Cortland as they have yet to fully mature.

McIntosh is the most widely grown apple in New England. Although discovered in 1811, this canadian apple did not arrive in our area until 1870. Extensive planting of McIntosh occured after disasterous freezes in 1933/34 killed many popular varieties including Baldwin. We feel New England grows the best McIntosh in the country. It's qualities are so desirable it is the parent of 5 other apple varieties.
